I bought this Potentilla fruticosa 'Monsidh' at a lowes for 50% off. I think it turned out well, it should fill out guite nicely... Any ideas or opinions are more than welcome!

yup he's right shorten the branches so it will compact your vision of the tree... afterall it will thicken in a while...and new sprouts will create new branches in replace of the ones you will shorten...if these braches grew... you can later create the secondary and thirsiary branches...in a year later...good luck!

how about shortening the branches,that way will give a compact look to your tree...anyway just my opinion...BONSAI FOREVER
