You dont need to get it small, Bonsai grow in category sizes, so all you need to do is reshape with pruning to premote healthy growth,,along with repotting and root pruning of course. Just prune the size down every two years or so when you repot. Some bonsai are 4 to 5 feet tall as tall as a man, some fit in the palm of your hand. Your tree is beautiful just love it and it will reward you.
